GulfCorps Member Position Summary
Gain satisfaction by helping to conserve the fragile ecosystems that exist in our region. Work will include working outdoors 80% of the time. Work can include repairing boardwalks, protecting endangered species, removing invasive species, mapping, trail work, planting native trees and plants, and many other things. Work takes place in or near the Greater New Orleans area. Training includes wildland fire fighting, chainsaw operations, wilderness first aid, OSHA 10-Hour Outreach training, and others.
This is an 8-month program. Members are expected to work a minimum of 32 hours per week on site. Members will receive an hourly wage.
Eligibility
18 years old and up
US Citizen
Available Monday through Friday - all day
Not currently in school
Must be able to pass a drug test
